The Inter-Collegiate Cricket Championship (Men) of Goa University was held at Goa University Ground, Taleigao from 21 February to 20 March 2019. More than 35 college teams took part in the tournament. After winning all the preliminary matches against different colleges, Shree Damodar College reached the semifinals. In the semifinal match, Shree Damodar College played against Caculo College Mapusa – winners for the past 3 years – and won the match by 3 wickets. Suyash Prabhudessai played a crucial knock of 45 runs in 34 balls to set up a victory for Shree Damodar College in the semifinal.
The Final match was held on 20th March 2019 against GEC college Farmagudi and the College team won the match quite comfortably by 8 wickets. Sanket Morajker was declared as Man of the Match and Suyash Prabhudessai was declared Player of the Tournament.
Mr. Ajinkya Kudtarkar, College Director of Physical Education & Sports, was manager for this tournament. Mr. Mano Shelke assisted the team. Dr.Prita Mallya Principal,and Mr. Vikram Verlekar Chairman Vidya Vikas Mandal Sports Council congratulated Mr. Suyash Prabhudessai (Captain), all the team players and manager for their outstanding performance and achievement.
