The BBA(Financial Services) Department organized a guest lecture in Financial Services on the topic Recent Trends in Fee-based Financial Services for the Second Year students on 06th March, 2019 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m..
The resource person was Mr. Ashwath Majalikar, Assistant Manager, Muthoot Finance Limited, Margao, Goa. He is an alumnus of the College, having completed both his B.Com and M.Com from this institution.
Mr. Ashwath covered the fundamentals of all the major fee-based financial services like merchant banking, stock broking, depository services, custodial services, credit rating and securitization with a thorough focus on recent trends in each of them.
The session was very informative and interactive. Mr. Ashwath Majalikar answered all the questions put forward by the students. A total of 38 students from both the divisions of SYBBA(FS) attended the guest lecture. Mr. Mayuresh Adsul, Assistant Professor in Commerce, introduced the resource person and proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Rosena Fernandes, Assistant Professor in Management assisted in organizing the guest lecture.
