The BBA(FS) Department of the College conducted a guest lecture in Economics for First Year BBA (Financial Services) students on 06th March 2019 from 2.00 pm to 3.15 pm in the BBA(FS) Classroom. The Topic of the session was Understanding Entrepreneurship Opportunities. The objective of the session was to make students aware of steps involved in the entrepreneurship process.
The resource person was Mr Ramchandra Salgaonkar who is a marketing and sales consultant with 15 years of functional experience in marketing. He is associated with the Forum for Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship (FIIRE) which is a technology business incubator established with the support of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
He spoke about observing and identifying business situations, stability of decision making, the need for innovation, formation of ideas and concepts, ideas and their implementation, looking into the stability of the sector in the future and also various marketing strategies.
A total of 35 students (18 females and 17 males) attended the session. The session ended at 3.15 pm with a vote of thanks delivered by student Mr. Shawn Menezes. The session was coordinated by Asst. Prof Ivy Simoes.
The students appreciated the session and have also made a request for more such sessions.
