The BBA (FS) Department in collaboration with Panaji Regional Office, Bombay Stock Exchange organized a student seminar on Awareness on Capital Markets: Empowering Investors through Education on 23rd February 2018. The Resource Person was Mr. Jason Dias, Deputy Manager, Panaji Regional Office, BSE.
The objective of the seminar was to provide students with greater insights into basics of capital markets, different investment avenues and educating prospective investors to invest wisely.
Mr. Dias focused on analysis of investment options available to the investors in the secondary market, the different advantages and disadvantages of modern investment form investors’ point of view, growth of Bombay Stock Exchange and principles of safe investment. The 38 students who were present, listened attentively and learned the practical aspects of investing in Indian capital markets. Mr. Dias patiently answered the numerous queries from students.
