Financial Literacy is a core life skill for participating in modern society. The need for financial literacy has gained greater significance in light of the recent developments and the hardships faced by the common man.
Young Leaders is an initiative by BBA(Financial Services) Department of the College to educate youngsters in this direction. The programme was designed for students in schools and higher secondary schools.
11 Government Schools(NSQF students); GHS Junabazar- Ponda, GHS Sadar-Ponda, GHS Ganjem-Usgao, GHS Zuarinagar, GHS New Vaddem-Vasco, GHS Borda, GHS Sanguem, GHS Honda, GHS Donapaula, GHS Porvorim and GHS Gurim-Mapusa all over Goa were covered under this programme.
Students from First Year, Second Year and Third Year BBA(FS) conducted the programme. The students used PowerPoint presentations, role plays, games and such other activities to drive home the importance of financial literacy. Topics covered under this programme were Savings, Investment, Banking, Insurance and Importance of Aadhar Linking.
Students of Government Schools were very interactive and enjoyed the programme. It was a great learning experience too for the students of BBA(FS) Department.
BBA(FS) Department looks forward to carry out more such activities for the betterment of society.
