Lit Quest- Teaching Staff

IMG-20171108-WA0002The Literary Club, Cultural Council of the College organised Lit Quest, an English language and literature based competition for the teachers of the College. The competition was organized on 17th October, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. after the teachers took part in a lovely Diwali Celebration in the College Campus. Twenty teachers participated in the event. The competition was divided into three rounds. The first round was a Task Based Spelling Bee and Pictionary. Only 8 teachers qualified for the second round, Just a Minute. It was amusing to watch teachers trying to enthusiastically speak on topics for an entire minute without a grammatical mistake or a pause or stutter and fighting to complete the minute against the others. Only four teachers qualified for the final round: Ms. Mamta Kumari, Dr Manoj Kamat, Ms. Pooja Pai Khot and Ms. Gautami Raikar. The final round was a Quiz based on phrases, riddles, spellings and tongue twisters.

Ms. Pooja Pai Khot from the BCA department won the event and Dr. Manoj Kamat won the second place. The teachers of Damodar College participated in such an event for the very first time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves while refreshing their memory about language, literature and the passionate competitive spirit that students have.  The competition was organized by Ms. Gauravi Keni and Ms. Sheetal Arondekar and they were assisted by Ms. Pooja Shanbhag.  Dr. Vishal Chari helped to make the event a memorable one by clicking photographs throughout the event.
