The BBA (Financial Services) Department of the College organised a seminar for the students of BBA (FS) and M.Com on 9th August 2017. 75 students attended the seminar.
The Speaker of the day was CA Anand Tendolkar, Manager at Securities Exchange Board of India, Goa. The theme of the seminar was Investment in Today’s World.
Mr. Tendolkar began by saying that it is very important to know that we need to save first and spend what remains. The speaker emphasised the need for investment, the various investment avenues available and their contribution in giving good returns. He elaborated upon the role of SEBI as a regulator of securities markets in India. He also enlightened the students about the various ways in which SEBI protects the interests of investors by tracking the behaviour of companies.
It was a very interactive session, with students actively seeking clarifications and participating enthusiastically in the discussions.
