GVM’s, Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce & Economics, Farmagudi, organised “Guru Srujan 2017” an inter-collegiate cultural festival for teachers on Wednesday, 29th March 2017. Various on-stage events such as Duet singing, Jugalbandi, Khaas Daadlyan Khatir, Short film on Swatcha Bharat/Demonetisation, Group fusion dance – ‘East Meets West’ and off-stage events such as Rangoli, Fruit and Vegetable Carving, Group Selfie and Best out of waste were held during the competition. Thirteen colleges from across Goa participated and showcased their talent in almost all events.
A ten member team of Shree Damodar College participated in the event and won several individual prizes as listed below

- Best out of waste – 1st prize won by Ms. Pooja Pai Khot & Ms. Pooja Shanbhag
- Fruit & Vegetable Carving – 1st prize won by Ms. Pooja Pai Khot & Ms. Pooja Shanbhag.
- Rangoli – 2nd prize Ms. Ulpa Waingankar & Ms. Anuja Pinge
- Short Film – 2nd prize won by Mr. Aquib Sayed & team
- Group Dance – 3rd Prize won by Ms. Prachi Kolamkar& team
Overall the College won the Runners-up Trophy for the year 2017.
