Nature Club “VASUNDHARA” organized a Snake Awareness programme at the College Multipurpose Hall on 4th March 2017. The resource person for the session was Mr. Benhail Antao, Honorary Wildlife Warden, Forest Department, Government of Goa. Mr. Benhail Antao enlightened the students on the importance of snakes in the ecosystem, identification of snakes as venomous and non-venomous, precaution and first aid to be taken in case of snake bites. He displayed to the students few snakes which he had rescued and encouraged them to come forward to hold the snakes so as to remove their fear of these reptiles.
