The BBA (FS) Department organised a certificate course for students through the BSE on 12th January , 14th January, 31st January 2017. The course was conducted in three sessions by resource persons from BSE, Mr. Izhar Khan and Dr. Aditya Srinivas on the topics Indian Economy, World Economy and Macroeconomic Factors affecting the Economy.
The first two sessions were conducted by Mr. Izhar Khan on 12th & 14th January on the Indian economy, working of the stock market, monetary policy among others. He explained about the GDP of India in comparison with the world average, the domestic consumption rate and also about the saving rate in India. He informed the students about different ways a company adopts to raise funds for the company through debt and equity.The next session was conducted by Mr. Aditya Srinivas on 31st January, who explained about macroeconomic parameters affecting India and about world economy in comparison with Indian economy. He spoke about India’s GDP during the major crisis that took place in the global economy during the last 10 years and compared the US economy with the Indian economy in terms of contribution to World GDP. He also told about the key initiatives for India viz. Make in India, Skill up and Start up India.
