A Guest lecture was delivered by Shri Rohan Coutinho of Eaton Corporation, Pune for the Bcom students on 13th August 2016. Dr Rodney D’Silva, Convenor of Entrepreneurship Development Cell welcomed Shri Rohan Coutinho and the gathered students/teachers.
Shri Coutinho gave a brief presentation on issues important to today’s entrepreneurs like
- Patents Act
- Trade Marks Act 1997
- Copyright Act 1957
- Designing Act 2000
- Geographical Industries of Goods Act, 1999
He further elaborated on Copyright and Registration procedure for getting Patents. He gave information on the patent status of Basmati rice and Goan Cashew Feni.
The session ended with an interactive session between the resource person and the students and faculty members present.
