BCA students – Runners up at “INTERFACE 2016” A National level IT festival, Christ University, Bengaluru

Computer Science Department of VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao, participated at INTERFACE 2016 on August 24 & 25, organized by Christ University, Bengaluru. A group of 15 students from BCA (10 boys and 5 girls) accompanied by a faculty member from the same department participated at the 20^th edition of this national level IT festival.

In spite of the short notice of preparation, the department’s faculty members immediately and enthusiastically got into selecting and training teams to represent various IT related events beginning with coding and web designing to photography and virtualDJ, to name a few. At this national level festival where more than 20 colleges from five states participated in various events, our students not only got an exposure to compete with the best of the best but also performed extremely well and got the Overall Runners Trophy.

 Upon their return, Principal Dr Prita D. Mallya congratulated the students and the department for their phenomenal performance and reiterated her confidence that it was only the beginning of many such national events coming up where Damodar students in general and BCA students in particular are going to get many accolades for the College. After this success, students of BCA are fully energized to participate in various IT Clubs overseen by the Computer Science Department, where students get opportunities to sharpen their skills and get mentored by professionals from Industry and academia.
