The Department of Computer Science (BCA Programme) conducted a practical hands-on workshop in the subject of Software Testing for Third Year BCA students on 20th August 2016. The Resource Person was Mr. Nitin Kumar, Team Lead from ‘Persistent Systems Limited’, Verna – Goa.
During the sessions, he explained the importance of Software testing and different types of software testing strategies. He enlightened students about the skills set required by the Software Testers, the potential career path and also shared his personal industrial experience in performing testing activities with the audience. He specially mentioned that Java and Python are the languages / scripts which are very much in demand in the field of testing.
During the workshop, students designed, reviewed and analyzed test cases of four web pages, viz. Gmail Registration Page, Facebook Registration Page, Amazon Registration Page, and Flipkart Registration Page.
The students appreciated the session and have asked for similar sessions in the future.
