Session II of career opportunities talk series was conducted by the Career and Placement cell of Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics on 3rd of August 2016 for Third Year / Final Year Students which focused upon their professional and career opportunities in the field of CA, CWA, and CS in general and CS in particular. The resource person for this session was Advocate S. Rama Rao, Career Counselor and Visiting Faculty, ICSI – Goa Chapter.
During the Session, the resource person informed the students that there is huge demand of Company Secretaries in the industry and numbers of professionals are less, especially in Goa. He informed the audience about the Institute of Company Secretaries in India, the exam conducted by them, the registration process, the fees, the syllabus, who should do it and how to go for it.
Being the representative of ICSI, he also explained the audience about ins and outs of ICSI and how they help the prospective CS Professionals in preparing for the examinations. He mentioned that if college is interested ICSI can start a Study Circle in the College premise for the benefits of the students.
This session was kept open for all interested students and around 93 students attended. Overall, the entire session was interactive and successful. We are thankful to the resource person and the students for the smooth conduct of the session.
