In Remembrance of
Shri R. K. Laxman
1921 – 2015
The Management, staff & students of VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics deeply mourn the sad demise of Shri R. K. Laxman, Eminent Cartoonist, on January 26th 2015. Shri R. K. Laxman was the recipient of numerous awards, notably the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Magsaysay Award.
Shri R. K. Laxman was the Chief Guest at the programme 40 years ago in 1974, when VVM’s College of Commerce was renamed as VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics.
Shri R. K. Laxman is therefore, an important part of the history of VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics.
We offer our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family in their time of grief.
