

The event saw participation from five Higher Secondary schools, with each institution fielding a team. The competition comprised seven engaging events designed to test students’ financial knowledge and critical thinking abilities:

- Reelvertising
- Quest Chronicles
The event was inaugurated by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Shivasailam, Manager, RBI Regional Branch who delivered an insightful address on the significance of financial literacy in shaping students’ futures. His speech set a motivating tone for the event. Following this, the Officiating Principal, Prof. Sanjay P. Sawant Dessai, extended a warm welcome to the participants, faculty members, and dignitaries. He emphasized the importance of financial education and its role in empowering students to navigate the complexities of the modern world. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries marked the official opening of the event.
The seven competitions challenged participants in areas such as financial planning, market strategies, economic trends, and sustainability. Through case studies, presentations, and interactive challenges, students demonstrated creativity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. A panel of faculty members from the Department of Commerce and industry experts judged the events to ensure fair and insightful evaluation.
The award distribution ceremony marked the event’s closing. The winners were:

Both teams received trophies and prizes in recognition of their achievements. Additionally, all participating teams were presented with certificates to honor their efforts and contributions.
The event was meticulously organized under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator, Asst. Prof. Sushrusha Naik Khandekar, ensuring its smooth execution. The Student Coordinators, Mr. Aden Vaz and Mr. Prajvalit Gaonkar, efficiently managed various aspects of the event. During the concluding session, Mr. Aden Vaz expressed gratitude to the participants, judges, and coordinators for their contributions. Ms. Snehal Alve, Programme Coordinator, BBA(FS), highlighted that “Money Matters 7.0” successfully achieved its objective of promoting financial literacy among students, fostering healthy competition, and encouraging future financial leaders.
The faculty members of the BBA (FS) programme, including Asst. Prof. Cinola Vaz, Asst. Prof. Ashwini Devari, Asst. Prof. Delisha Rebello, and Asst. Prof. Sarth Shanbhag, played significant roles in guiding the organizing team, ensuring the event’s success.
“Money Matters 7.0” was a resounding success, providing a valuable platform for Higher Secondary students to showcase their financial knowledge while gaining meaningful learning experiences. The event has further strengthened the college’s commitment to fostering financial awareness and skill development among young learners, preparing them for future careers in finance and economics.
