The Department of Computer Science organized a field trip on 29th August 2024, for TY BCA and BVoc.(ST) students at Creative Capsule, Verna from 3:00pm to 4:30 pm. The students were welcomed by Ms. Lourdes Monteiro, Training Manager at Creative Capsule. The visit provided students with valuable industry exposure and insights into mobile app development and project management. The 27 students (16 male, 11 female), accompanied by Assistant Professors Ms. Rama Borkar, Mr. Sameer Patil and Ms. Rakshavi Dessai from the Department of Computer Science, were given a tour of the company’s working environment followed by a technical session.
The session was conducted by Ms. Callista D’Souza (Team Manager), Mr. Reuben Pinto (Associate Team Lead) and Mr. Ivo Costa (Director of Development). Mr. Ivo also shared crucial advice on what is needed to land a job and succeed in the industry.

Expected Outcome of the Activity:
The students gained valuable insights into the team structure within a company, the project lifecycle, work environment and work culture. They also enhanced their knowledge of mobile app development, including the necessary skills required to secure a job and succeed in their careers.
