MCA Entrance Exam Training

The Department of Computer Science organized MCA Entrance Exam Training for the Third Year students of its BCA and B.Voc.(ST) students in the month of February and March 2024.The trainers Ms. Sweta P. Shet Verenkar, Mr. Andre Pacheco, Ms. Yugandhara Joshi and Ms. Rakshavi Dessai offered specialized training in different subject areas essential for the entrance exams.

The primary purpose is to prepare students for the MCA entrance exams, as these exams are competitive, and students need to perform well to secure admission to their desired MCA programs. The training helps students review and strengthen their understanding of fundamental subjects such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Reasoning, and English language skills, which are commonly tested in the entrance exams.

  • Ms. Yugandhara Joshi focused on Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, as well as various mathematical topics such as Set Theory, Probability, and Statistics.
  • Ms. Rakshavi Dessai covered Programming and Basic Data Structures, helping students strengthen their coding skills and understanding of core programming concepts.
  • Ms. Sweta P. Shet Verenkar trained students in Computer Organization and Architecture and Operating Systems, providing them with in-depth knowledge of these crucial computer science subjects.
  • Mr. Andre Pacheco conducted training sessions on Internet and the WWW (Application Development), teaching students about modern web technologies and application development.

The training helped the students to identify their weak areas so they can focus on improving them before the actual exam. The trainers offered valuable guidance and mentorship to students, helping them navigate the exam process and make informed decisions about their future academic and career paths. It also equipped the students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to succeed in the entrance exams and pursue their academic goals.

The faculty in-charge were Ms. Annette Santimano and Ms. Karishma Tuenkar, Asst. Prof. from the Department of Computer Science (Career Cell). 23 BCA and B.Voc.(ST) students registered for the MCA Training.
