The Department of Management of the College organized the “Young Leaders Program”, a community outreach activity from 15th January 2024 to 10th February 2024. The program was an initiative towards imparting financial literacy to the children of various Government schools and Higher Secondary Schools in Goa. It also aimed at empowering students by enhancing their leadership skills and providing them an opportunity to exhibit remarkable qualities such as creativity, adaptability, and inclusivity.
15 Government Schools and Higher Secondary Schools were covered under the outreach activity namely Vandemnagar High School- Vasco, Vandemnagar Higher Secondary School- Vasco, Anjuman High School Vasco, Government High School– Junabazar Ponda, Government High School– Sadar Ponda, Amaya Higher Secondary School- Curti Ponda, Government High School– Zambaulim, Government High School– Colamb, Government High School – Borim, Government High School – Ganjem Usgao, Government High School– Alto Betim, Government High School- Dona Paula, Government High School – Malkarnem, Our Lady of Fatima- Rivona, Government High School– Zuarinagar Vasco.
The BBA(FS) students engaged the participants with the help of interactive sessions which included PowerPoint presentations, skit and quizzes to create awareness on important topics such as Online and Offline Scams and Frauds. The program successfully raised awareness among the participating schools. At the same time, it was a great learning experience for our students. 42 from FY BBA(FS) and SY BBA(FS) conducted the program. Theoverall program was coordinated by Ms. Alba De Sa and Mr. Jayant Panvelkar.
