The Department of Management Studies organised a guest session on ‘Strategy in Uncertainty’ for the students of SY BBA(FS) on 10th October 2023 from 11.15 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. Mr. Colin Coelho, Corporate Trainer, was the Resource Person for the session. 53 students attended the session.
The Resource Person was introduced by Ms. Fenisa Dias of SY BBA(FS). Mr. Coelho then commenced the lecture by creating a foundation of the basic meanings of uncertainty and strategy, following which, he highlighted the interrelation among the two concepts. He went on to delve into the four levels of uncertainty. He touched upon the three main strategic postures (stances) that can be assumed to tackle the various levels of uncertainty. He also proceeded to discuss the three types of strategic moves that are taken in business. He then concluded the session by illustrating the need to evaluate strategy.
Overall, the session proved to be an enriching experience for the students that provided them knowledge and valuable insights into strategic planning. At the end, Ms. Nitya Bhat of SY BBA(FS) proposed the Vote of Thanks.
