The E-Cell & Incubation Centre in collaboration with Startup and IT Promotion Cell-Goa organised the Goa Startup Yatra 2023-24, on 25th September, 2023, in the Smart Classroom.
The session commenced at 12:00 p.m. with the introduction given by Abraham Rodrigues, a student of FYBBA(FS).The main aim of this session was to provide the students with an overview of the Goa Startup Yatra’s objectives, emphasizing its role in identifying and supporting student entrepreneurs with promising business ideas.
The Resource Persons were Mr. D. S. Prashant, CEO, Startup & IT Promotion Cell Goa, Mr. Thejus Joseph – COO, Forum of Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship (FiiRE) and Mr. Arbaaz – CEO, Custom Elements Pvt. Ltd
Mr. Prashant played a pivotal role in organizing this event. His leadership and expertise in promoting startups in the region have been instrumental in fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. He also highlighted the initiatives undertaken by the Startup & IT Promotion Cell Goa to foster a conducive environment for startups in the region. He emphasized the Cell’s commitment to providing guidance and support to budding entrepreneurs.
Mr. Joseph brought his extensive experience in incubation, innovation, and entrepreneurship to the session. He mentioned that FiiRE’s commitment to nurturing startups aligns perfectly with the goals of the Goa Startup Yatra. Mr. Thejus Joseph discussed the role of FiiRE in incubating and nurturing startups, providing valuable resources, mentorship, and infrastructure to help startups thrive. He encouraged students to leverage the resources available through such incubators.
Mr. Arbaaz shared his remarkable success story with the attendees. His journey in building a successful startup serves as an inspiring example for aspiring student entrepreneurs. As a successful entrepreneur with Goan roots, he shared his entrepreneurial journey, highlighting the challenges he overcame and the lessons he learned along the way. His personal success story resonated with the students, motivating them to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
The session concluded with a Q&A session, allowing students to interact with the Resource Persons, seek guidance, and clarify their doubts regarding startup ventures. Aden Vaz, student from FYBBA(FS) proposed the Vote of Thanks. 46 enthusiastic students attended the session.
