“Setting the Stage: Orientation on Effective Stall Setup”

The Commerce Club of the Department of Commerce and Management organized a session on “Setting the Stage: Orientation on Effective Stall Setup” on 29th August. The Resource Person was Ms. Shalaka Joshi. The objective of this session was to provide the students with insights into the art of setting up stalls effectively.

Ms. Ruby Mahato a student from SY B.Com was the compere for the session. Assistant Professor, Ms. Marjina Shaikh briefed the gathering about the Commerce Club activities and the Commerce Student of the Year title. Ms. Shreeyash Dalal a student from TY B.Com introduced the Resource Person to the audience.

Mrs. Shalaka initiated the session by underscoring the pivotal role of stall presentation in influencing customer engagement and sales. She delved into several facets of stall setup, encompassing layout, design, product positioning, customer interaction, complaint resolution, pricing, and profit margin establishment. Throughout the session, Mrs. Joshi imparted her wealth of knowledge, offering valuable tips and techniques she has accumulated over the years. She stressed the importance of comprehending the target audience and customizing the stall setup accordingly. Furthermore, she highlighted the significance of crafting an inviting and visually appealing stall, utilizing elements such as banners and color schemes to captivate potential customers.

Ms. Nivita Shirodkar a student from SY B.Com proposed the Vote of Thanks for the session. Ms. Marjina Shaikh, Assistant Professor in Commerce was the teacher incharge for the session. 135 B.Com students attended the session.
