The Department of Management Studies organized an Investor Hub activity on 26th August, 2023, as a part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing students’ knowledge and fostering a sense of team spirit. The event commenced with a Business Spotlight Class led by Mr. Pranay Gunaga, a student of TY BBA(FS) B. Mr. Gunaga’s presentation centered on the BRICS Summit 2023, providing attendees with a comprehensive overview of the discussions and key outcomes of the summit.
- BRICS Grouping Expansion: Mr. Gunaga emphasized the importance of expanding the BRICS group to bolster cooperation among emerging economies.
- Formation of BRICS Currency: He introduced the concept of a common BRICS currency, elucidating its potential advantages in terms of trade facilitation and economic stability.
- India’s Stand in 15th BRICS Summit: Mr. Gunaga shed light on India’s unwavering commitment to cooperation within the BRICS framework and its role in the 15th BRICS Summit discussions.
Following the enlightening Business Spotlight Class, participants engaged in two interactive activities designed to promote teamwork, creativity, and knowledge sharing: The first activity was ACT-O-Word. Teams participated in an engaging word-guessing game. One member held a word card above their head, visible to their teammates. The team had to act out clues for the holder to guess the word correctly. This activity not only tested communication skills but also added an element of amusement and teamwork.
Financial Quiz was the second activity. Participants delved into a challenging financial quiz, covering various aspects of finance and economics. The quiz encouraged critical thinking and allowed participants to apply their financial knowledge.
The event achieved its goal of expanding students’ understanding of international affairs and finance, all within a collaborative and enjoyable setting.
