The Investor Hub hosted an engaging and insightful event on Saturday, 5th August, aimed at unleashing the potential and confidence of future business leaders. This week’s investor hub offered a unique opportunity to all the BBA and BBA(FS) students to delve into the world of finance and business innovation.
The event commenced with an informative session titled “Business Spotlight,” which was engaged by Mr. Venedict Gomes from FY BBA(FS) A. He shared his insights on the upcoming changes in the Indian fintech industry. Venedict highlighted the emergence of Jio as a significant player in the finance sector, shedding light on its strategic focus and the introduction of a micro-credit system. His presentation served as an eye-opener, providing attendees with valuable industry updates and trends.
The interactive activities that followed captivated the participants and enhanced their problem-solving skills, teamwork, and strategic thinking. The event featured four intriguing activities:
Activity 1 was Stick Sentence Puzzle: Participants were presented with ten jumbled sentences that they needed to rearrange to form coherent statements within the stipulated time. This activity tested their language proficiency and attention to detail. In the second activity i.e., Room Recall Challenge: One student from each participating team was given two minutes to observe a room’s arrangement. The remaining team members had to listen and follow the instructions of the observer to recreate the room’s setup. Escape Room Challenge: was the third activity where participants needed to complete each level successfully before progressing to the next. The ultimate goal was to solve puzzles, advance through all four levels, and unlock the key to the “escape room.” The last activity was the Stepping Stone Race: Participants engaged in a thrilling stepping stone race, where they navigated through a designated path by stepping only on paper. The first participant to reach the finish line emerged victorious in this fast-paced challenge.
The event saw the enthusiastic participation of 18 teams, each comprising ten members, making for a dynamic and engaging atmosphere. The activities ran concurrently, necessitating effective teamwork and coordination as participants divided themselves to partake in each challenge.
The event concluded at 1:30 pm with Assistant Professor Delisha Rebello delivering concluding remarks. Her insightful insights and encouraging words provided a fitting closure to the event, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, adaptability, and continuous learning in the ever-evolving business landscape.
