Session on “Curiosity, Creativity and Innovation”

The FY Certificate Course Committee organized a session on “Curiosity, Creativity and Innovation” as a part of the Certificate Course in 21st century Life Skills for the students of FY BBA(FS), FY B.Com, and FY BBA on 31st March 2023. The Resource Person for the session was Ms. Amba Prabhu, Psychotherapist, and Counsellor. The objective of having a session on curiosity, creativity, and innovation for students was to encourage and develop their ability to think critically, explore new ideas, and find innovative solutions to problems. A total of 20 students attended the program.

The Resource Person began the session by defining curiosity, creativity, and innovation. The speaker highlighted that curiosity is the foundation of creativity and creativity is the foundation of innovation. Therefore, it is crucial to develop a curious mindset to drive creativity and innovation. The speaker also discussed the importance of curiosity, creativity, and innovation in the current job market. Employers are looking for individuals who possess these skills and are innovative problem-solvers. Therefore, students need to develop these skills to succeed in their careers. The speaker suggested that students should keep asking questions, explore new things, and be open-minded to new ideas. Furthermore, they should practice brainstorming, try new things, and take calculated risks to foster creativity and innovation. In the end, the speaker conducted an activity to encourage creativity among the group members.

The speaker at the end of the session addressed the queries raised by the students. The students found the session very informative and enlightening. The session ended with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms, Mahek Shaikh a student of FY BBA(FS)-A.
