The Investor Hub of the Department of Management organized a one-day inter-department event Fin-Splash 3.0 on 16th March 2023. The event invited participation from Third Year BBA(FS)/B.Com/BCA/B.Voc(ST) students. 07 students participated in this event, which was organized to select the ‘Finance Student of the Year 2022-2023‘.
The event included a series of competitions:
DEALERS MAZE (Stock Trading) was a mock trading competition wherein students were given a dummy corpus to invest in shares of various companies. The competition was designed in such a way that it not only prompted students to learn the art of trading but also tested their knowledge of capital market fundamentals. At the end of the competition, the participant with the maximum profit was declared the winner. Mr. Raj Lotlicar, a TY BCA- A student, won the first place in the competition.
GOLD RUSH (Product Sale) was a conditional sale competition wherein students were asked to make maximum sales while adhering to the conditions put forth to them and within the time limit specified. The competition was designed to analyse the art of managing time and tested their business communication skills. Mr. Darren Dias, a TY BCA- A student, won the first place in the competition.
BRAINIAC was a quiz competition in the areas of finance and management, in whichMr. Darren Dias, a TY BCA- A student, won the first place.
PITCH PERFECT (business plan) was a competition held to help the students explore their entrepreneurial skills and capacity and also test their knowledge of entrepreneurship development. Mr. Darren Dias, a TY BCA- A student, won the first place in the competition.
CREATIVE SPARKS was an advertising campaign competition which provided a platform for students to showcase their creative business skills in marketing products and services in an innovative way. Ms. Sakshi Jadhav, a TY BBA(FS)- B student, won the first place in the competition.
Mr. Darren Dias a student of TY BCA was declared the winner of Fin-Splash 3.0 and the Finance Student of the Year 2022-2023 based on his overall performance. Asst. Prof. Ms. Abigale Rodrigues, Investor Hub In-charge, was the overall in-charge of the event.
