Government College of Arts, Science & Economics, Sanquelim-Goa organized 2nd Edition of Late Aalok Shirodkar Memorial Inter-Collegiate Hardball Cricket Tournament on 20th& 21st February 2023.A total of 16 Colleges participated in this tournament.
In the Preliminary round our College played against Dempo College and scored 70 runs in 5 Overs and defeated Dempo College. Mr. K.R Krishnanunni was awarded with Man of the Match Title.
In Quarterfinals, our college played and defeated CES College, Cuncolim after defending a target of 50 runs. Man of the Match was awarded to Mr. Kaushal Hattangadi.
For Semi Finals, the College played against Zantye College and defeated them by scoring 59 runs and qualified for the Finals. Man of the Match in semis was awarded to Mr. Shubham Gajinkar.
For Finals, our college played against Government College Pernem and fixed the target of 56 runs to opponent, where we defended them within 40 runs and won the match. Man of the Matchand Man of the Series title was awarded to Mr. Kaushal Hattangadi. Best Bowler title was awarded to Mr. K.R. Krishnanunni.
Mr. Ajinkya Kudtarkar, College Director of Physical Education & Sports & Mr. Saurabh Raikar Instructor in Physical Education were the coach and manager of the team and Mr. K.R. Krishnanunni was the captain of the team. Mr. Vikram Verlekar Chairman, Sports Council Vidya Vikas Mandal and Prof. Prita Mallya, Principal of the College congratulated the team and captain for the win.
