The Future Skills Group of TechTrendz Club of the Department of Computer Science, organized a Wrap from Scrap – best out of e-waste competition for its BCA and B.Voc (ST) students on Saturday, 29th October 2022 from 12.00 pm to 1.00 pm. The members of the organising team were Ms. Siya Gauns Dessai and Ms. Pranjali Naik from SY BCA-A, Ms. Bhakti Mirashi and Ms. Laxmi Pujari from FY B.Voc(ST), and Mr. Tanish Ghag from SY B.Voc (ST). 8 students participated in this event.
With the growing e-waste in our society, from household to industrial e-waste, this competition let the participants reuse and make the best out of the e-waste materials. Participants were allowed to participate as individuals or in team of two members. The time frame given to the participants was 1 hour. The judging criteria were creativity, utilisation of e-waste, artistic composition, design, and overall presentation. The judges for this competition were Dr. Rodney D’Silva, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce and Mr. Ramkrishna Reddy, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science. The winners of Wrap from Scrap event were Mr. Ansh Naik and Mr. Yash Naik from FY BCA-B.
The brochure for this event was designed by Mr. Tanish Ghag from SY B.Voc (ST). The Google form, collage, and video were madeby Ms. Pranjali Prakash Naik from SY BCA-A. The students of the organising team were guided by Ms. Shruti Kunkolienkar, Ms. Dixita Gauns Dessai and Ms. Rajlaxmi S. Nair. Head of the Computer Science Department Mr. Sumit Kumar provided the necessary guidance for the event.
