On the occasion of International Girl Child Day, the Fine Arts Club, Cultural Council of the College organized a Bookmark Making Competition on 17th October 2022. The competition was open to all students of the College. The theme for the competition was Gender Equality. Students were encouraged to design a bookmark in accordance with the theme with the objective of spreading awareness and simultaneously expanding their insights on gender equality. The competition witnessed an overwhelming response of 48 students. It undoubtedly provided a platform for the students to showcase their creative skills and meet the objective of the competition. The bookmarks were judged on the basis of creativity, artistic composition, relevance to the theme, and overall presentation.
The first five places were bagged by Ms. Naira Shaikh of TY B.Com (D), Ms. Mrunali R. Chari of FY B.Com (C), Ms. Cidel Rodrigues SY B.Com (C), Ms. Zia Fernandes of TY B.Com (C), and Ms. Namrata C. Chari of FY B.Com (C) respectively. The judges for the competition were Asst. Profs. Ms. Pretty Pereira and Ms. Marjina Shaikh. The Fine Arts Club faculty in charge, Ms. Lizette D’Costa, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics & Banking, coordinated the competition.
