The BBA(Financial Services) Department encouraged the TYBBA(FS) students to pursue an online certificate program in Tally ERP 9from 09.12.2021to 23.12.2021 from 09:30 to 11:00 a.m. and 03:00 p.m. till 05:00 p.m. through Zoom platform. Students from the B.Com programme also pursued the online course. The course was offered by Vedasys which is an ISO certified Computer and IT training school that specializes in IT and non-IT Computer courses and latest technologies, Mr. Santosh Balakrishnan, Founder, Vedasys was the Resource Person for the session. The training program aim to relevantly skill students and working professionals towards maximum employment potential.
The online certificate program was offered to the students with the following objectives:
- To enhance the knowledge of the students by focusing on the related practical aspects.
- To add value to the students’ undergraduate degree.
- To expand the employment opportunities for students.
Topics like: Accounting of financial transactions, introduction to Tally and voucher types, inventory masters, interstate and intrastate transactions, input tax credit, reverse charge mechanism, order processing, manufacturing firm accounting, actual vs billed quantities, tally synchronization, real world bill entry practice and tally backup and restore were covered in the course.
18 students (09 males and 09 females) from TYBBA(FS) A and B class and from the B.Com programme completed the online certificate course successfully. The Educational Version of Tally ERP 9 was provided to all the enrolled students. Session recordings were made available on the Facebook group for those students who faced internet connectivity issues. All the enrolled students received e-certificates from Vedasys on their registered e-mail IDs. Physical certificates were also provided to the students who requested and paid for the same. All the enrolled students provided a positive feedback to Vedasys. Two students, Ms. Anjali Navik and Ms. Dhanashree Khavnekar from TY BBA(FS) – A class won the Amazon vouchers of Rs. 200/- as gifts for providing the best feedback. Mr. Mayuresh Adsul, Assistant Professor of Commerce, BBA(FS) Department was the in-charge faculty for the same.
