On the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child in October 2021, Counseling Cell and Dept. of English and Communication of VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics organized an Online Monologue Competition on the theme ‘Strong is the New Pretty’. This competition was organised for the students of Vidya Vikas Mandal on 11th October 2021.
The aim of this activity was to bring awareness about gender equality and women empowerment amongst students. The participants had to record a monologue on the said theme, upload the video on google drive and share the link on the given email address.
There were seven participants across the institutions and three winners. The first prize was bagged by Ms. Lavinia Pawar from RMS Higher Secondary School, second place was secured by Ms. Alita Fernandes student of RMS Higher Secondary School and third place was bagged by Ms. Petalia Cuthino, Shree Damodar College of Commerce& Economics.
