The Students’ Council organized a speech competition ‘Pick and Speak’ as part of the Fun Week on 21st December 2021 from 12.00 noon to 1.00p.m. for the students of the College. At the beginning of the competition, Ms. Sushrusha Naik Khandekar, Assistant Professor in Commerce briefed the students about the rules of the competition. Altogether 9 students participated in this event. The participants had to pick any topic and speak for 3 minutes on the spot. Miss Trusha Vadil, Assistant Professor and Miss. Rajlaxmi S. Nair, Assistant Professor were the judges for the competition. Some of the topics included were Life Before and After Covid 19, Android VS IOS, My Biggest Dream, How to Tackle Bad Habits, Drugs – A Cancer to Society, Benefits of Print Media, Travel and Tourism in Goa, etc.
All the students enthusiastically performed in the competition which ended with the judges final remarks on the performance. The event was coordinated by Students’ Council Members – Siddhant Madkaikar, a student and Ms. Sushrusha Naik Khandekar, teacher in charge. Mr. Ganesh Kumavat from M.Com II won the first place, Mr. Amaan Makandkar from T.Y. B.Com A won the second place and Mr. Ayush Kale from S.Y. BCA B won the third place in the competition.
