1 Goa Naval Unit, Peddem Mapusa, organized seven days Annual Training Camp from 20th December 2021 – 26th December 2021 for the Naval cadets of the College. The main objective of the camp was to prepare the student for “B” and “C” certificate exam. At the onset of the camp CORiji .K. Krishnan welcomed the cadets and ANOs/CTOs.
Cadets were taught skills like swimming, Semaphore language, Firing, Sailing and Drills. Information on different types of guns, how to handle it during firing was illustrated. Talk on natural disaster, medical emergency, mind and emotions and the incentives available for the NCC Navy cadets were delivered. Importance of “B” and “C” certificate exam in the job market was emphasized. The camp would start every day at 6.00 am with exercise drill and end at 8.30 pm.
Cadets enjoyed activities like firing, swimming, beach cleaning, and sailing. The last day was filled with lot of joy as our cadets participated in the Cultural Program. The camp ended with a camp fire.
The participants were given certificate at the end of the camp. 300 cadets from 13 institutions, all over Goa participated in the camp along with their ANOs/CTOs.NCC Naval unit cadets were accompanied by CTO Pretty Louiza Pereira.
