E Cell organised a session in collaboration with IIC, NSS and Green Club “Employment Opportunities in Energy Sector’ on 14thDecember 2021 from 2:00 to 4.00 pm. The Resource Person for the webinar was Mr Abhinav Apte, Founder Director at Track change LLP. Goa. 78 students attended the sessions.
National Energy Conservation Day is observed on December 14, every year. This session was organized to mark the importance of energy conservation and to make students aware about the various business opportunities in the energy sector.
The session started with the overview of the energy sector and energy scenario in Goa. The speaker addressed various challenges that people in Goa face because of dependency on the neighbouring states. He also discussed methods to save energy by giving various examples. He explained how investment can be reduced using energy efficient LEB bulbs, tube lights, fan etc.
Mr Apte highlighted on how government is focusing on the development of renewable energy sector. The solar power products market in India is on the verge of expansion which gives immense business opportunities.
The speaker addressed the questions of the participants. The session was very informative and resourceful.
