The Post Graduate Department of Commerce organized an ‘Orientation on Digital Library’ on 8th November 2021 from 9.45 to 11.30 am. The orientation was conducted by the College Librarian Ms. Manasi D. Rege. The aim of organizing the orientation was to familiarize the M.com Part-II students about various E-resources of the college which will help them to work on their dissertation.
In the orientation Ms. Manasi D. Rege informed students that digital library provides access to high quality electronic database. The library has approximately 34,000+ books, 32 Magazines, 26 journals, 03 E-resources, 05 National and 10 Local Daily Newspapers. The library has various valuable books like Encyclopedias, Handbooks, Subject Dictionaries, etc for their students, faculty members and researchers. It manages its information via NewGenLib Library Management Software for printed books, non-book materials like e-books, e-journals etc as well as it also promotes open access to e-resources such as Indiastat, N-LIST, NDLI, Sodhganga, Pathshala DOAJ, DOAB, e-Pearson etc. Along with familiarizing the students regarding various E-resources Ms. Manasi D. Rege also guided about using these resources.
The orientation ended at 11.30 am. 18 students of M.com part-I attended the orientation.
