The Post-Graduate Dept. Of Commerce (M.Com) conducted an orientation on Coursera courses on 18th October 202 at 11.15 am in Room No.22, M.Com Classroom. The Resource Persons for the session was Mr. Gajanan Haldankar, Conevor, MOOCS / Coursera / Online certifications. 25 students participated for the session.
The college has a tie up with Coursera since A.Y 2020-21, to provide the faculty and the students of the college with one free course that they could register and complete from Coursera. On completion, the participant would receive a certificate.
The Post Graduate Department of Commerce (M.Com) encourages the students to register and complete any one course from Coursera, which is also considered as a compulsory component for the ISA –III for 10 marks.
Mr. Gajanan Haldankar, Convenor of the cell briefed the students about the Coursera platform. The students were shown the procedure to register for the course and also the various courses from international/ national universities were projected. The faculty incharge and the member of the cell Ms. Seema Dharani, gave an overview of how to filter the courses as per the subject, area of interest and the choice of universities. The students were also explained about the peer-assessment, a unique way of assessing the assignments of the fellow students.
