Khadi Day Celebration/International Day of Non-violence

The Department of Computer Science observed Khadi Day/Organic Day on 4th October 2021 from 12:00 noon in the Ganesh Daivadnya Auditorium. The program began with the introduction and the welcome address by Mrs Rama Borkar, Asst Prof, CS Dept. The Principal, Vice-Principal along with the other staff members paid their respects to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi by offering flowers and lighting the auspicious lamp.

Principal, Dr Prita addressed the gathering. In her speech she stressed on the importance of wearing Khadi cloths and how the Khadi movement was a landmark step in the Swadeshi Movement during India’s freedom struggle.

Towards the end of the program, Principal Dr Prita Mallya administered a pledge on Non-violence. To mark the celebration all the staff members wore Khadi cloths. 20 staff members attended the function.
