The Department of Commerce & Management, in association with Securities and Exchange Board of India, Metropolitan Stock Exchange and Central Depository Services Limited organised a Webinar for SY B.Com students on “Investor Awareness and the Role of Regulators” on 24th February 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Webex. Vice Principal, Dr. Rodney D’Silva delivered the welcome address. The Resource Persons for the webinar were Mr. Yazdi Pir, Mr. Ritesh Pandya and Mr. Sanjay Nunes.
The guest speakers discussed various investment options available to young investors and the need for exploring these opportunities, the risk-return profile of various investment options and the role of SEBI as a regulator. The session was attended by 135 participants including students and faculty members. Assistant Professor Mr. Ainsley Bernard proposed the Vote of Thanks.
