The Career and Placement Cell organized Placement Workshop for BBA(Financial Services) students on 13th February 2021 in association with “myAthena”. ‘myAthena’ is a platform for both, students and young professionals to get placement-ready. The session was conducted virtually through Zoom from 10:30 a.m. till 12:15 p.m. 49 students attended the same.
Mr. Gurpreet Walia founder and CEO, myAthena and Ms. Nidhi Chauhan, Chief Learning Officer, myAthena were the resource persons for the workshop. The workshop focused on the recruitment
process experienced by most freshers applying for jobs. Mr. Walia advised students to have a strong and attractive résumé and to work on their body language before attending any interview.
Ms. Nidhi Chauhan stressed on the following points that would help the potential candidates to take an edge over the others
1) Understanding Self- Who am I?
2) Resume Preparation- The Do and the Don’ts
3) Preparation for Group Discussion
4) Preparing for Interview – STAR Technique
At the end of the session, Ms. Chauhan shared the “guru mantra” with the students, i.e., “sell yourself to the best of your ability to the interviewer, continuously work on self-development, work on self- discipline, practice humility and generosity and lastly increase your social network.”
