The Department of Economics & Banking organized Screening of Union Budget 2021-22 for faculty and students, by telecasting the live session of the Presentation of the Union Budget from the Lok Sabha by the Finance Minister of India, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman on 01st February 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 01:15 p.m. It is the first budget of this decade and the first digital budget in the environment of the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis. Laying a vision for Aatmanirbhar Bharat, she said that the Budget proposals will strengthen the country by doubling farmer’s incomes, strong infrastructure, healthy India, good governance, opportunities for youth, education for all, women empowerment, and inclusive development among others.
82 participants, including faculty and students, attended the session virtually through the Google Meet platform.
