Fitness Training with Health Check-up for VVM’s Staff

The Department of Physical Education and Sports organised a Fitness Training with Health Check-up camp for VVM’s Staff from 21st September to 12th December 2020. The training was conducted at the Gymnasium & Multipurpose Hall.

Time schedule for the training was as follows:

Batch 1- 1.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m.

Batch 2- 2.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m.

Batch 3- 3.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Batch 4- 4.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Details of the participants:

  • 28 Female staff Members were part of a Pre-Training Health Check-up that was conducted on 16thSeptember 2020.
  • A 12 weeks Fitness Training programme started from 21 September 2020 with 23 female staff; however only 11 female staff could complete all 12 weeks’ fitness training programme, which ended on 12thDec 2020.
  • A Post-Training Health Check-up was conducted on 14thDecember 2020 in which 24 female staff participated.

The purpose of conducting the training programme was to see the effect of 12 weeks Strength and Cardio Training programme on overall “Health Status” (i.e. Weight, BMI, BMR, Body Fat Percentage, Blood Pressure and Blood Lipids level) of female Staff Members from all the institutions of Vidya Vikas Mandal.

Training Schedules were individualized, which were prepared and sent to the participants. Batches of participants were supposed to come every alternate day. The training programme was conducted by following appropriate SOPs of social distancing and Sanitisation.

Every individual was given special attention. The Training Programme included different training methods such as cardio training, interval training, super set method, repetition method, 1 repetition maximum, aerobics, zumba etc. Every workout was systematically explained and demonstrated to the participants.

The Fitness Training with Health Check-up was held under the expert supervision of Mr. Ajinkya Kudtarkar, College Director of Physical Education & Sports, Department of Physical Education.

An Introspective Report was prepared at the end of the training program.
