The Research Cell of the College organized a presentation by Ms. Arya Prabhudesai, on November 13, 2020 from 12.30 to 1.00 pm. Ms. Arya is a Research scholar enrolled in the Research Centre for Management Studies. She made a presentation on her PhD research work, viz. “Investment Behaviour of Women”. The presentation began with the role of women in investment decision-making. The study takes into consideration the investment behaviour of working women from all categories i.e. salaried, business, professional, as well as from different sectors, i.e. Government, Semi-Government and Private sector, in the state of Goa.
She also explained the theoretical background for the research, which includes Socialization and Prospect theories. The scholar explained the various constructs used in the study, viz. Financial Socialization, Financial Identity, Subjective Financial Knowledge, Financial Self-Efficacy, Risk Tolerance, Risk Perceptions and Investment Behaviour.
