The PG Department of Commerce organized a Freshers’ Welcome for the Part I students on 24th October 2020 at 3.00 p.m. A virtual session ‘Know Your Classmates’ was held to give the Part-I students to interact with their seniors.
Dr. Rodney D’Silva, Programme Coordinator and Vice-Principal addressed the students and welcomed them to the PG Department. Ms. Mruga Naik, student of M. Com Part II was the compere for the evening. She shared her thoughts and experience as a student through a poem that she wrote for the occasion. The program commenced with a melodious song sung by Ms. Shraddha Gurav, student of M.Com Part II. Many Part-II students took the opportunity to share their learning experiences and highlighted various activities organized by the department for students to boost their overall academic growth and development. There was a video presentation made by the students to give a brief insight to the various activities organized by the Department.
They also urged the freshers to attend and participate in all the activities organized by the Department. Part I students enjoyed the entire program and expressed their happiness at the formal welcome. They thanked the seniors and the teachers for their efforts in organizing a successful program.
The program concluded at 4.00pm.
