The Students’ Council organized a virtual celebration on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, on 05th September 2020 from 11:00 am onwards on the theme Guruve Namaha. The Students’ Council took this opportunity to honor the ex-teachers who have undoubtedly played a major role in the growth of the institution. The Council thus invited 19 ex-teachers of the institution along with the present teachers for the celebration.
The program began with a welcome address by the Principal Dr. Prita D. Mallya. This was followed by a short cultural programme which included a poetry recitation by Ms. Dnyanada Prabhudesai of TY B.Com, a song of gratitude to teachers by Ms. Petalia Coutinho of SY B.Com and a special video dedicated to the teachers by Mr. Shawn Menezes of TY BBA(FS), Mr. Rowan Ferrao of TY B.Com and Ms. Elaine Sequeira of M.Com Part II. The participants were also entertained with an online quiz and an online game. The winners were awarded prizes. A special video was created on the legacy left behind by each of the ex-teachers, reminiscing priceless memories.
The Council took this opportunity to declare the winners of the Teachers’ Day Online Photography contest conducted earlier. The Council prepared a collage of teachers across all program with inspiration quotes, which were subsequently circulated virtually.
Ms. Lizette D’Costa and Ms. Trisha Vadil were the comperes for the celebration.
