The BBA (Financial Services) Department organized an online orientation session for FY BBA(FS) students on 1st September, 2020, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. via the Google Meet platform.
Asst. Prof. Ms. CinolaVaz, Coordinator of the BBA(FS) Program initiated the session by welcoming all the students. She briefed the students about the program, its structure and its aims. The Principal, Dr. Prita D. Mallya, welcomed all the students and briefed them about the program. She highlighted the relevance of the program in terms of value addition and employment opportunities for the students. She stated that the learning environment at Shree Damodar College nurtures the knowledge and skills of the students in a holistic manner through student-centric instructional pedagogy.
Asst. Prof. Mr. MayureshAdsul guided the students on creating an account on Microsoft Teams. Asst. Prof. Ms. Swati Bhat elaborated on the various certificate courses offered at the Department. Asst. Professor Ms. Lizia Gomes thoroughly explained the mentoring program undertaken by the Department. She also explained about the conduct of remedial classes for the students. Asst. Professor Ms. Trisha Vadil listed the activities of the Department, viz. ‘Investors’ Hub’ and ‘Fin Splash’. Asst. Prof. Ms. Ashwini Devari elaborated on the State and National level event participation. She also highlighted a few activities of the Career and Placement Cell. Asst. Prof. Ms. Grishmi Thakur briefed on the various extension and outreach activities of the Department and Asst. Prof. Ms. SehalAlve briefed the students about the evaluation pattern and requirements of the program.
