A total of 14 teams participated including two from an engineering college. The project titled TRAMUS is a bus tracking and management system designed to track the location of the bus, and guide users (passengers) to their destination with the help of Google‟s Assistance using both online web access and android applications for smart phones. Through TRAMUS a passenger not only finds out buses available on any particular route or at a bus stand, but also can track the present location and time of arrival of the bus at the desired station. The current location of a bus is automatically updated by the system based on the application installed on the bus driver‟s smart phone. The driver can also inform the users about any information about break down of the bus or a route change through the system. The system also facilitates registration of new buses along with their routes. Users of the buses can give their feedback about the bus service for the use of other users and the bus staff. Students had worked on the project over a period of one year as part of their project work of the BCA programme, under the supervision of Mr Gajanan Nial, Assistant Professor, Computer Science Department. Students in this team and all other TYBCA students went through the entire software development life cycle along with intensive brain storming, multiple internal evaluations, and inputs for improvement by the Department faculty members.
