The Recreation Cell of the College organized Diwali Dhamaka Celebration for the teaching and non-teaching staff on 12th November 2020 from 8.15 a.m. to 1.15 p.m. The programme commenced with offline competitions comprising Diya Painting & Decoration, Kandeel Making and Flower Rangoli. This was followed by a virtual Diwali Dhamaka Celebration, which began with the Vice Principal Dr. Rodney D’Silva addressing the virtual gathering. Dr. Shami Pai, Head of the Department, Commerce and Management, briefed on the essence of Diwali celebrations in Goa. Ms. Akshada Hegde, Assistant Professor in Computer Science sang a devotional hymn, praising Lord Shri Ram. This was followed by an online quiz organized by Ms. Stesa Pereira, Assistant Professor in Economics and Banking. A few spot prizes were announced during the virtual celebration. Prizes were distributed to all the winners at the end of the programme. The Diwali Dhamaka Celebration was compered by Mr. Shrikant Madar. 38 staff participated in the competitions and all staff participated in the celebrations.
